NOTD - French Acrylic/Gelish Hybrid

Wow I haven't posted a nail of the day for around a million years. So hear is my super quick current festive hangover nail. An acrylic tipped, Gelish french covered in holographic glitter, which is actually a lot more subtle than it looks on here. It lasted for weeks and didn't chipped on bit thanks to the super strong acrylics tips, perfect for Christmas/ New Year shenanigans.

NOTD - Shellac Rosebud

Shellac Rosebud

A few pics of my nail of the week - Shellac Rosebud. A pinky/ nudey shade perfect for Summer days sipping Pimms and eating macaroons.

On the subject of nails, I am so pleased to see Essie has arrived on the High Street. The best on trend, long lasting and glossy nail varnishes you can buy. I particularly love their mat top coat.

NOTD - Shellac/ Gelish Gotcha Pink

My nail colour of the week (or three weeks hopefully!) is Shellac Gotcha, a bright and shiny coral pinky colour that goes amazingly well with a tan, if only I had one. Nonetheless at least I can pretend and get into the Summer spirit while the sun is out. I have ordered some of the new Shellac colours that have just been released and am eagerly awaiting my delivery, although the fact it does last for three weeks does mean I have to be a bit more patient for testing purposes. I'm also loving Mrs. Jones' nail colour of the week too which you can check out here.

Ps. Has anyone read this months Vogue? Loving that Sienna is avec bump the same time as me, I'm hoping for lots of great bump dressing inspiration!

NOTD - Shellac/Gelish Natural French Manicure

It's one of those things boys just never get, like shopping and diamonds and handbags, but having your nails done (and ones that don't chip for 2 weeks at that) just makes me feel instantly polished, excuse the pun. Even when the rest of me is covered in yoghurt and I have only remembered to mascara one eye (cringe).
This week I have a natural French manicure using a Shellac and Gelish combo which has worked out better than I had hoped. My nails aren't that long, and the Strawberry Shortcake Shellac goes perfectly over the Clearly Pink to create an uber natural finish. One that goes with everything and will last for nearly 3 weeks (over a very busy birthday period).
Heaven!

NOTD Shellac Hollywood

Shellac Hollywood
I love a red nail (or slut nails as one of my NCT friends kindly calls them) to add a bit of glamour to my day even when my hair resembles a birds nest and I'm wearing the same clothes for the second day in a row, but they are high maintenance. Until now that is as I gave myself my first Shellac manicure in a bright pillar box red called Hollywood. Shellac really is a must for busy, hands on mummies, especially one with a penchant for bright red. It is a polish/ gel hybrid which you paint on like nail varnish (with no nasty filing of the nail pate) and set under a UV lamp, it is also chip free for 2 - 3 weeks. I have had them on for a week now and despite a tiny couple of chips which wouldn't be noticeable to anyone else bar my own beady eye, they are perfect and still uber glossy. What's not to love!
